Sydney Operations Manager

As a Manager of Sydney Operations you are an integral member and contributor to the senior management team, and have overall accountability for manufacturing performance, new business introductions and profitability of this brand new state of the art facility. You are a seasoned professional with a strong manufacturing background able to take a leadership role within Keata Pharma Inc.

Reporting to the President of Keata, you will have the following hands-on responsibilities:

·     Overall accountability for the Operations and planning team to ensure that it achieves its strategic objectives in bottom-line performance, quality, technological innovation, team building, and on-time delivery

·     Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining effective internal controls, and achieving strong operational results

·     Oversee the ongoing development of guidelines, processes, standard operating procedures, methodologies, controls, and overall best practices to enhance core capabilities and to realize operational efficiencies

·     Initiate and sponsor innovation, change and improvement in the company

·     Manage product forecasting and scheduling functions to meet corporate and client requirements

·     Maintain current knowledge of industry developments and best practices in Operations Management

·     Perform management reviews, resource management, coaching and development of staff, and make recommendations regarding salary increases, performance evaluations and corrective actions.

·     A highly motivated and results oriented self-starter with strong operations and people management skills and experience, who can work effectively as a team player, and who can roll up their sleeves and get actively involved in operations

·     People oriented with strong general business acumen and an innate ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and Clients

·     Highly effective at translating business priorities into operating realities

·     Able to implement change, increase productivity, and enhance performance in response to budget parameters and Client demands

 

Your qualifications include a bachelors degree in business (MBA an asset) and/or technically related field,  a minimum of 5-10 years practical management experience in a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing environment; background in operations, production planning and supply chain. You will have strong leadership, planning, and scheduling skills, knowledgeable with current good manufacturing procedures, Health Canada, and the Food and Drug Administration. Experience dealing with financial management, budgeting, financial statements, information systems, cost reduction and process improvements. Outstanding written and oral communication skills are your strengths with proven ability to coach, mentor, and monitor direct reports.
